Overview

LionLink is a smartwatch brand created for men who balance professional careers with active outdoor lifestyles. Through market exploration, I identified a gap between productivity-focused smartwatches and rugged outdoor devices. LionLink explores a product experience designed for men who move between both worlds.

The Opportunity

Many smartwatch brands focus on either: • Productivity and office life. • Fitness and athletic performance. • Extreme outdoor survivalist activities. There appeared to be limited products designed for men who spend their weekdays working in professional environments and their free time hiking, travelling, exploring, or spending time outdoors.

Project Goals

Defining success.

Defining success.

The project was shaped around four core objectives — each balancing visual craft with strategic intent.

01

Create a smartwatch brand that feels equally at home in the office and outdoors.

02

Balance premium aesthetics with practical functionality.

03

Design an e-commerce experience that supports both lifestyle and technology.

04

Build a cohesive experience across mobile and desktop.

LionLink demonstrates how audience-led research, brand positioning, and interface design can work together to create a coherent product experience — one where every design decision traces back to a clearly defined audience and a specific gap in the market.

The project also highlights the importance of designing beyond your own experience. Gathering direct feedback from the target audience shaped both the visual language and the brand voice in ways that assumptions alone could not have.

The result is a brand that feels equally credible in professional and outdoor environments — not because it avoids either context, but because it was built with both in mind from the start.
